To lay
down a procedure for fumigation of production area.
2.0 SCOPE
To lay
down a procedure for fumigation of production area for controlling the
microbial content.

4.0 PROCEDURE
4.1 Use CARE P- CS for
fumigation in the production area.
4.2 CARE P- CS consists of Hydrogen Peroixde (H2O2) 15% w/v
and peroxyacids 0.2% w/v.
4.3 Switch off AHU’s before starting
fumigation.
4.4 Connect the Fumigator electric plug to main
supply.
4.5 Prepare solution for fumigation by Pouring
required quantity of CARE P- CS Solution in quantity sufficient of
Purified water
4.6 Pour above solution in the tank provided at
the bottom of the fumigator.
4.7 Put on the main switch. Fogger starts
emitting the fine fog.
4.8 Keep the fogger “ON” till it forms
sufficient fog in the area and then shift to another area.
4.9 After fumigation keep all the doors and
area closed for not less than 6 hours.
4.10 Switch “ON” AHU’s before one hour of start of
the work.
4.11 Record fumigation details in the
annexure-1
4.12 Frequency: Once in a week (Probably
Saturday) or if the microbial count exceeds the alert limit during
environmental monitoring.
4.13 Wear protective clothing including gloves and
goggles must be worn.
4.14 Use following table for fumigant concentration and contact time in different types of applications.
For aerial disinfection use 2% of fumigant with 30 minutes contact time
For surface, Equipment and tools disinfection use 2.5% of fumigant with 30 minutes contact time
